I am Mark Snape, currently working toward ICF accreditation as an Associate Certified Coach.
Over 30 years of senior leadership experience in the British Army and in the Defence and Aerospace industry has taught me all about leading diverse teams within high pressure environments, managing conflict and developing personal and organisational resilience.
I understand the challenges of dealing with stress, expectations, new roles and cultures and achieving balance whilst giving your best and providing transformational impact.
I have worked alongside some of the most impactful and inspirational leaders, and I have also seen the damage that toxic leadership can wreak. I have dedicated myself to helping my clients ACHIEVE their goals, whilst maintaining balance, happiness and self awareness.
I believe in taking a customized approach to each of my clients. I will work closely with you to understand your unique needs and challenges, and develop solutions that are tailored to your specific situation.

I believe that the power of executive and performance coaching is in being flexible and client-centred. Through active listening and asking razor sharp challenging and impactful questions I create a safe, confidential space for clients to work through dilemmas and partner with them as they to challenge themselves to develop and achieve.

Coaching strengthens leaders' ability to manage uncertainty, high stake scenarios and inter-agency collaboration. It enhances morale and engagement - critical where skills are costly to replace. Coaching also builds psychological readiness and resilience under pressure, reducing burnout. Essentially, coaching can help to ensure that leaders' behaviours align with strategic objectives and Defence values, and the impact of improved decision making, retention and morale cascades beyond the individual undergoing coaching.
All these benefits can be measured via retention data, 360 degree feedback, project delivery on time metrics and stress/ resilience indices via personnel surveys.
There is documented evidence (e.g. The Manchester Review 2001, Vol 6 No1) that executives and leaders (at all levels) receiving coaching achieved higher goal attainment and resilience compared to controls and ROI studies show ~529% financial return on investment when coaching is aligned with business goals.
Mark was the life raft that I didn't know I needed. I was completely adrift until we began our sessions. Through his guidance and clever questioning, I discovered I already knew what I wanted and what I wanted to change. Then, he helped me work out exactly how I was going to change my path and set realistic but challenging goals that I could actually achieve. Now, I have the drive and ambition to actually do something about these goals, not let them fall by the wayside like they always have. What's more is I have already made steps towards all of them! Without Mark, I would still be adrift and just floating past everything I want - a complete life changing experience for me.
